Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion
Being the first member of my family, who obtained a university degree, I never stop being grateful for the opportunity I was given to become the scientist I am today. I am deeply committed to the principles of equality and diversity – including, but not limited to ethnicity, socioeconomic background and status, gender, and age. These are vital establishing a conducive research environment both within my research group as well as within any educational setting.
I actively implement and live these values in my daily work and, equally, expect my team members (currently originating from 6 countries) and students to respect and foster them. In particular, hiring processes should grant equal opportunities to all candidates, enabling traditionally underrepresented groups to thrive and allowing them to present themselves at their best.
